Fiona Barnett
Fiona joins the team with a wealth of knowledge and experience in both Marketing and Design. Her determination and drive to deliver the best outcomes for our clients is what makes Fiona a valuable asset to the team.
What's your story? What brought you to Metro?
After studying a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design at Massey University in Wellington, I spent ten years working in the advertising and editorial sides of the magazine industry in Auckland, New Zealand and London, UK. During this time I was fortunate enough to work with some of the biggest brands in the world and developed many different skill sets including art direction, copywriting and photo retouching. Since leaving the magazine industry, I switched my focus to marketing, and I've been working in roles that have utilised both my marketing and design skills. After working in in-house marketing roles for the past 7 years, what drew me to Metro was the variety of clientele that they work with and their passion for working with not-for-profits.

Where can you be found when you’re not here at Metro?
With my family in our home in Pāpāmoa Beach. Family time is filled with bike rides along the Wairakei Reserve and getting salty and sandy at the beach. ‘Me-time’ usually consists of spending time tending to our sub-tropical garden and I also love practising yoga at Māhana Loft.
